Location and surroundings

Within walking distance of the campsite are two villages: Benimantell and Guadalest, where you will find numerous museums, traditional cuisine restaurants, and viewpoints.

From the campsite, about 20 trails equipped with signage throughout their length start, leading to the most beautiful and accessible places in the Guadalest Valley, with breathtaking panoramic views stretching for dozens of kilometers.

The campsite is located on the outskirts of the village of Benimantell, next to the sports complex. The most convenient way to reach the campsite is to exit the CV-70 road onto a paved road that begins 50 meters west of the village outskirts.

View from the campsite
From any point in the campsite, there is a stunning view of the mountain ranges surrounding the Guadalest Valley.

The perfect place to rest

Here, where history and nature merge, you will find the ideal place to relax at any time of the year. Follow the site’s updates to stay informed about the project's development and the campsite’s opening!

Project progress

We planned to start the works at the end of 2024 and open the campsite in spring 2025, but it is now evident that this is unrealistic.

November 5, 2024

FINALLY! We can continue the work!

We already have the Urban Compatibility Certificate. This is a document we have been waiting for exactly 8 months, since March 5.

November 29, 2024

We are pleased to announce that the Benimantell City Hall is making every effort to ensure the timely and proper implementation of the project. We are fully aware of the magnitude and complexity of the administrative work carried out by the City Hall employees, and we sincerely thank them for their dedication to the development and prosperity of the entire municipality. Their professionalism and commitment to excellence provide reliable support in achieving common goals.

December 22, 2024

On the campsite grounds, leveling works are in full swing. We have started building retaining walls of natural stone around the entire perimeter of the campsite and within its grounds.

January 3, 2025

The Benimantell Town Hall denied us a temporary connection to the water supply network, which we had requested to carry out the construction of retaining walls made of stone. They argued that, in their opinion, water is not needed for building such walls and that the masonry should be done using only stone, without any construction mortar.

January 7, 2025

Today we were informed by phone that we will finally be connected to the water supply and will be able to rebuild the ruined terrace walls using mortar, in accordance with construction standards.

The water connection will also allow our gardener to begin landscaping work.

Contract with ECUV to speed up the licensing process

On March 12, we signed a contract with ECUV – Cercontrol, an officially accredited Entidad Colaboradora Urbanística de la Comunitat Valenciana.

ECUV specializes in the technical certification of urban planning projects, expediting the licensing process through detailed analysis and prior coordination with regulatory authorities.

As part of this collaboration, Cercontrol will conduct a comprehensive review of the camping project and prepare the sectoral reports required for obtaining the construction license.

This will significantly reduce administrative processing times and increase transparency in the approval process.

March 25, 2025

Since March 24, we have significantly increased the pace of construction of the retaining walls.

The work is being carried out simultaneously in three different areas.

📄 A new stage in the preparation of project documentation

Today we received an official response from ECUV regarding our project documentation. This is an important step forward on the way to opening Benimantell Camp!

ECUV carried out a preliminary review of the submitted materials and sent a list of additional documents required under Law 6/2014 of July 25 on the prevention, quality and environmental control of activities in the Valencian Community.

The list includes, among others:

  • an activity license and a project certified by a qualified technical specialist;
  • a full environmental impact study and an acoustic assessment;
  • a landscape integration plan, a fire prevention plan, and a health and safety plan;
  • as well as several formal documents (urban planning sheet, statistical form, proof of fee payment, etc.).

At this stage, our team and the specialists involved have already started working on the missing items. We are making steady progress and are committed to full regulatory compliance to ensure that our campsite is not only cozy and beautiful, but also a safe and environmentally responsible place to stay.

First look at how our campsite is coming to life!

We’re really excited to share something special with you! We’ve recorded our very first video to show how the Benimantell campsite is taking shape. In the video, you’ll see how construction is progressing, how the landscape is transforming, and a glimpse of what we’re preparing so you can come and enjoy it very soon.

Our plan is to keep filming and uploading more videos like this, so you can follow the whole process step by step. Little by little, the dream is becoming reality… and we’d love for you to be part of it!

Current layout of the campsite and status of construction works

The earthworks and terrain profiling are practically completed.

The campsite is distributed over four terraced levels, adapted to the natural topography, as can be seen in the orthophoto.

  • The first terrace, located at the lowest part of the site, will house the multifunctional building (which will include the reception, a shop, and a bar-restaurant), an outdoor swimming pool, as well as a large parking area for private vehicles.
  • The second terrace will feature several camping plots, a green rest area, and a children's playground.
  • The third terrace will contain more camping plots, along with a sanitary pavilion (visible in the image).
  • The fourth terrace, the highest, will be dedicated exclusively to camping plots.

The pitches for motorhomes and caravans will have varying dimensions, ranging from 9 × 11 m to 7 × 9 m. The pitches for tents (not visible in the image) will be slightly smaller, between 5 × 7 m and 6 × 8 m.

The minimum width of the internal roads will be 4.5 meters, increasing to at least 7 meters in sections with two-way traffic.

Thanks to careful terrain planning, we have ensured that the vast majority of the camping plots offer our guests wide, unobstructed views of the majestic Guadalest Valley.
